LEGAL DISCLAIMER & SPONSORSHIP ACKNOWLEDGMENT

1. No Attorney-Client Relationship or Legal Advice

Urban Legacy Day ("ULD") is a social enterprise dedicated to expanding access to estate planning resources for homeowners in underserved communities. All documents, templates, guides, and educational materials made available through ULD's programs, events, platforms, and communications — including wills, revocable living trusts, and related instruments — are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

The provision of any document, template, or resource by Urban Legacy Day does NOT constitute the practice of law, the rendering of legal advice, or the formation of an attorney-client relationship between Urban Legacy Day, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, or partners and any participant, attendee, or user.

While ULD makes every effort to ensure that documents are reviewed and approved by licensed attorneys, individual legal needs vary. Participants are strongly encouraged to consult with a licensed attorney in their jurisdiction regarding their specific circumstances before executing any legal document.

2. Participant Acknowledgment

By participating in any Urban Legacy Day program, event, or platform, each participant acknowledges and agrees that:

(a) They have not entered into an attorney-client relationship with Urban Legacy Day or any of its affiliated persons or entities
(b) Materials provided are general in nature and may not reflect the laws of their specific state or jurisdiction
(c) Urban Legacy Day does not guarantee any legal outcome, tax result, or financial benefit arising from the use of provided materials
(d) Independent legal counsel should be sought for advice specific to their personal situation

3. Sponsor Hold Harmless & Limitation of Liability

Urban Legacy Day deeply values the generosity and civic commitment of its sponsors. Sponsors contribute financial support, in-kind resources, or promotional assistance in furtherance of ULD's mission to promote intergenerational wealth and homeownership preservation in underserved communities.

Sponsors shall be held harmless from any and all claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

(a) The content, accuracy, sufficiency, or legal effect of any document, template, or resource distributed by Urban Legacy Day
(b) Any participant's reliance upon, use of, or execution of materials obtained through any ULD program or event
(c) Any act or omission of Urban Legacy Day, its agents, volunteers, or representatives
(d) Any third-party claims arising in connection with ULD's programs, events, or services

Sponsor support of Urban Legacy Day's mission does not imply endorsement of any specific legal strategy, document, or outcome, nor does it create any legal obligation on the part of the sponsor to any participant or beneficiary of ULD's services.

4. Indemnification

Urban Legacy Day agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless each sponsor, and its respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, and assigns, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with ULD's programs, events, documents, or operations.

5. Governing Law

This disclaimer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved in the courts of Marion County, Indiana.
